Hey everyone! I wanted to let you all know that my exhibit on Cosplay Photography, being held at Artisphere (Arlington, VA,) will be open to the public today starting at 4pm!
I won't lie, I'm pretty excited that this is happening. Being able to check off "have an exhibit for your photography" from the bucket list is a pretty good feeling. ^_^
Oh, and did I mention that this is ALL ABOUT COSPLAY?! That's right, this exhibit is exclusively showing cosplay photography. This is big to me not only because that's my main form of photography, but also I don't see a lot of art galleries having exhibits about the subjects (at least that's just me, I could be blind or something.) This is being shown at Artisphere, an art cultural center run by Arlington County. So having them be open to a subject like cosplay is pretty cool. I hope you other cosplay photographers (and cosplayers) take this news and go to your local art centers and ask about having your work shown! What we do IS legitimate art. And while I know 98% of you have never questioned that, know that other legitimate places won't either. So go for it! 100% of the shots you don't take don't go in.
Nothing is impossible. Just work at it, keep trying, and be decent along the way.
Anywho, come on by and check it out! The location is:
1101 Wilson Blvd,
Arlington, VA 22209
You can also take the blue / orange line to the Rosslyn station and then walk down Wilson Blvd (down the hill) for about 2 blocks.
You can find more information via this handy video I made about the exhibit, or by checking out Artisphere's website (as well as the page about the exhibit.)
Thank you guys for all the support, and I hope you guys check it out if you're in the area! Hugs and <3s!
